| TRAVELLER'S NOTES*: Before
leaving I had discussed with a friend at work the
fact that my husband wanted the go out on the Catamaran
snorkeling and that I was not that interested. She
told me to go as it would be fun and I did and had
an wonderful day. Everyone had a great time and
some people have gone on it again. Fiesta! |

Joel, Boris, Miguel and Daniel kept us all entertained
all day. English was not Joel’s forte but his
parting word to the Snorkellers at each stop was, ‘When
I blow this horn get your asses back here fast.’
The cruise had Lobster, again, steamed in white wine
and spices. For non seafood lovers the hotel sends a
boat to meet them with chicken. KFC delivery. LOL.
They told us if we were very lucky we may see dolphins
and we did, we had four follow the Catamaran for a bit
but of course no cameras were ready. We all thought
Boris was joking at first. The day came to an end to
fast and if you go try to get out one day on this excursion
but take your own snorkeling gear.
EXCURSIONS LIST
Prices are as of February 6, 2009 and are quoted
in Convertible Cuban Pesos.
Prices are subject to change,
and may be different depending on tour operator. It
is highly recommended that you pay your travel rep
with your credit card* instead of Cuban Pesos, you
get better rate .( PDF brochures link is at bottom
of this page.)
*For example, if you use your credit card to make
a purchase of 100CUC, on your credit card statement
you will see $134.31. That is calculated as follows:
100CUC, changed to $111.USD X the daily exchange rate
between the US$ & the Cdn$ (today’s rate). Depending
on which bank plan you have, your bank may charge a
small fee for foreign transactions, usually not more
than 2.5%. Also, there may be a slight deviation given
that the exchange rate may change a bit from the day
you actually made the purchase to the day that it gets
charged on your card.
If you paid CUC cash, the cost would be 100CUC, exchanged at 1.3461 or $134.61
Canadian. Hope that clarifies as it is better to make purchases with credit card
and tip with CUC cash.
