Changes for the Summer Season from May 1 to October 31, 2010
• Royal Suites section and Royal Club Gourmet restaurant will be closed.
• Buffet breakfast served daily at the Ventanas buffet restaurant.
• If less than 200 guests, lunch will be served at Megano Pool restaurant,
in case of rain, they will open Ventanas buffet restaurant.
• At dinner, the a la Carte restaurants will be closed 2 days a week, during
these days dinner buffet will be available at the Ventanas restaurant.
Subject to change based on occupancy levels.

-------- IMPORTANT NOTICE for Passengers Travelling To Cuba --------
As of May 1st, 2010, every person travelling to Cuba is required to have health insurance coverage to enter the country.
Under this new measure, coverage can be purchased at the point-of-entry into Cuba (airport) or in advance from foreign companies that have been approved by the Cuban government, see list below.
The measure decrees that tourists, foreigners with temporary residence in Cuba and Cubans living abroad who return to visit will have to be insured. It exempts diplomats and representatives of accredited international organizations.

LOW SEASON NOTICE (This
will be in effect from May 1 – October 31)
Royal Hideaway Ensenachos will be revising its hours of operation for all its restaurants, bars and entertainment.
The buffet will be open for breakfast, with a dinner
buffet available on two days per week and daily service
offered at ala carte restaurant facilities. The Lobby
Bar will open from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m,
other bars hours will vary depending on occupancy levels.
The Nighclub disco bar will be open late.
Alcoholic drinks are also available through room service
and in your stocked mini bar fridge in your room.
Daily activities and nightly entertainment will also
vary depending on occupancy levels. Check your bulettin
board at the bungalow entrance for up to date information
and daily activities. Entertainment information is
posted by the Lobby Bar.
NEW
BAR OPENED AT ROYAL SUITES
A
brand new bar has been opened at the Royal
Suites Main Building, the bar is located
inside the lobby just before the Royal Suite
Gourmet Restaurant entrance. Guests can now
enjoy a variety of alcohol drinks and specialty
coffees before and after meals. Cheers!

NO
CASES OF SWINE FLU IN CUBA
In Cuba, there has not been one single case of swine flu to date, nor have any
patients displaying symptoms of the illness been admitted into Cuban hospitals,
confirmed Dr. Luis Estruch Rancaño, deputy minister of Hygiene, Epidemiology
and Microbiology at the Ministry of Public Health. THE Cuban Ministry of Public
Health has announced in a note addressed to the population preventive measures
that are being taken to prevent the A (H1N1) swine influenza (flu) virus from
entering the country.

UPDATE: There are H1N1 cases in Cuba now, brought in by foreigners, but risk is minimal. Always take precautions by washing hands as you do at home and at work.
ROYAL
SUITES VILLAS SECTION TO CLOSE THIS SUMMER
The Royal
Villa Suites will be temporarily CLOSED for
Maintenance and Repairs this summer from June 1,
2009 to October 31, 2009. This includes
the Royal Club restaurant, swimming pool and Snack
Bar. Ensenachos
Beach is accessible.
If
your Tour Operator or Travel Agent has sold you this
package or is still selling, let them know or they should
notify you.
Also, there are some exciting upgrades coming to the
hotel which I cannot reveal yet as it is in approvals
stage. Once, they are complete I will let you know.
I will keep you posted if any further news comes up
regards to Royal Suites, etc.

TRIP
UPDATE:
Just returned from our exciting 2-week return
trip to RHE from Jan. 23 to Feb. 6, 2009. I am in
the process of updating the website with new exciting
pages, new review, Faces of Royal Hideaway photos,
and more beautiful resort photos, 360 degree virtual
QuickTime videos, etc.
My wife
and our friends wife cried like a baby on our
last day with the crying Cubans, LOL, saying
goodbye to everyone is very difficult, but
it's the friends and memories we've made there.
CAUSEWAY UPDATE:
2 bridges are still
under repair, 1 bridge nearly finished and
useable. The causeway is in good shape, constant
maintenance is in progress throughout.
The hotel resort is also in excellent shape after
3 hurricanes in Cuba in 2008.

and expanded photo gallery.

another HURRICANE UPDATE from RHE. NO DAMAGES.
The hotel and the entire employees with their family
are OK thanks God nothing happened. On behalf of the
entire employees and myself we thank you so very much
for your concern.

AUGUST NEWS 2008
I
have received email from Agnes Yousif, as you see they
are working hard to keep everyone happy.
The change we have done for the time been we have
changed the sun beds completely in Ensenachos
beach and we add more “palapas” or
umbrella at the beginning of Ensenachos beach,
which is close by Punta Pirate seafood restaurant,
this part could be used by the hotel guests
from SPA and Royal Hideaway if they want and
there is bathroom and bar close by.
By the end of Ensenachos beach which is exclusive
for Royal Villa suite guests we have changed their
sun beds too.Please fine the attached picture
of the kind of sun bed we are using right now
in our two beaches. |

Regarding
the Megano beach we have added more Palapas and
change 50% of their sun beds and I request the owner
to change the rest otherwise will be big problem
with the guest during high season. We have expanded
the beach bar, and added a small Palapa Hut for
the grill sandwiches, pizza, and burgers we offer
on the beach and we are waiting for the owner approval
to make a Ranchon Restaurant on the beach hope we
get this approval soon in order to make it ready
for the high season.
Because of the low occupancy we just keep one snack
in SPA section open plus mini buffet with barbeque under
the big Palapa which is near by the pool area.
Regarding the rooms the three sections of the hotel
are all open this summer and we give our guest room
up to their reservation of course not all the bungalows
or royal suite villas are open, we open just up to the
occupancy.
That’s all about our hotel right now.

August HURRICANE UPDATE:
NO DANGER, but a lot of rain and wind.
Some sections on causeway had to be repaired along
with 2 bridges that are under repair with one bypass
created. Pedestrian Walkway Bridge to Megano Beach repaired.
