"Cuban Spanish is generally spoken much more rapidly
than Spanish in Mexico or Central America, and it contains
many idioms. Que bola? (How's it going?), le da chango!
(that's amazing!) and esta infumable! (that's terrible!)
are but a few of the common expressions. Cubans also
tend to slur their speech, omitting certain consonants
and blurring words together."
"Cabarets (espectaculos)
featuring skimpily clad showgirls and lots of flashing
color and fabulous music are an integral part of Cuban
culture. Every town has at least one, drawing Cuban couples
on weekends. The largest show, Havana's Tropicana, has
been running nonstop since New Year's Eve 1939."
"Royal Hideaway Ensenachos has different daily performances
in the Auditorium and also in the Main Lobby in the evenings,
don't miss it."
"
The Montecristo No. 4 is the most popular
cigar in the world, and is the standard by which other
Cuban cigars are judged. They have a unique characteristic
spicy flavour, and taste like a Cuban cigar should. In
1963, the Cohiba cigar brand was launched in tribute
to revolutionary leader Fidel Castro. When it was first
introduced, the brand was reserved only for Fidel and
friends of the Revolution. It was released for commercial
sale to the public in 1982. The Cohiba factory
is the first cigar factory staffed exclusively with women
cigar rollers."
