TRAVELLER's NOTES*: The
Royal Suites are
2 kms. away from the main resort. It is
gated and situated along Ensenachos Beach. The
hotel can arrange a tour of the suites inside
and out. There
is a beautiful gourmet restaurant and a swimming
pool that is very quiet with its own swim up bar.

It
was absolutely Fabulous. In our previous visit to
Royal Hideway I had not ventured any further than
the beach at this end of the property, where as my
husband had done a walk about so he was familiar
with the grounds. There is just so much to say about
this stunning section of the property that if I forget
anything please do forgive me.
We
were whisked away to this peaceful oasis of the resort
where the units are set up like villas with there
own private roadways and entrances surrounded by
lush tropical foliage. On arriving at our Suite we
were greeted by one of our Butlers Gerardo, with
a bottle of Champagne and a beautifully presented
plate of fresh fruit. Gerardo's service is impeccable,
his personalized attention leads to total relaxation
which could easily spoil you for the return to reality.
He remembers all your preferences even down to the
fact that I like Kahlua in my evening Cappacino.
Our other Butler Yolie, they rotate days, was a really
sweet young lady. The morning we were to depart,
I was outside video taping the view from the beach
when she came out to tell me that the Bell Boy had
arrived, I actually started to cry as these people
and this place had become like family over our two
weeks.
The
Royal Suites Villa itself is low key Luxury and Elegance.
The ceilings are all very high and airy and the rooms
are spacious but not overwhelmingly furnished so
that you still feel that you are on that tropical
island and that it is all right to bring back a part
of the beach on your feet. There is one Grand entry
to the suite off your private walkway which leads
to the Grand entrance. Off of here is a the kitchen
area and a half bathroom which is quite large. You
then will step into the spacious Living and Dining
area. this area is rather comfortably decorated with
a sofa, high back chairs, centre table and armoire
which houses a t.v. and D.V.D. system. All the furnishings
very large comfortable and clean. The dining room
area has a table for 6 and a side table for drinks
and your 24 hour room service menu. The room service
menu in this section has more variety and Egg Flan
(creme brulee) which is one of my favorites at this
resort. The Dining area is formal and there are always
a complete setting for two on the table. We were
able to entertain a group of friends for drinks one
afternoon as if we were at home with the exception
of having to prepare anything. There is a seperate
entrance to the well equipped kitchen for the butler
as well as a spacious guest bathroom.
From the Dining there are doors which lead to your
own private porch. Off of the porch was lush tropical
foliage and then a cliff to the Sea. The Living room
also has windows/doors that open to the porch. Both
windows and doors have wooden shutters for complete
privacy. The porch has two loungers which have thick
pads which are condusive to a leisurely afternoon of
reading, feeling the mist from the ocean on your face,
watching the sunset or just plain old snoozing. There
is also a small table and chairs conveniently located
right next to the hot tub so that you can rest anything
down before sinking into the warm waters. The hot tub
is cleaned and maintained daily by a very nice young
man who, like the majority of the resorts staff is
very friendly. The suite is situated so that your porch
is afforded the utmost privacy so that you can enjoy
a long soak in the tub after a grueling day (yes it
is hard watching the hard bodies of the animation crew
yohnnie and yandy) at one of the resorts magnificent
beaches, or a quiet day at the Royal suites pool.
Finally the most important room of your romantic getaway
or relaxing vacation, The Bedroom. When you arrive
during the day the sun soaking through the full windows
to this room makes it feel so serene. The room boast
a King size bed which is beautifully decorated at all
times with towel art of by configuring the top cover
of the bed, by either the morning maids or the nightly
turn down service. At night you are left chocolates
and clean beach towels, to end your perfect day in
Paradise. The bedroom is also elegantly furnished with
a desk and chair near the door as well as a table and
chairs at the other end with a chaise lounge in front
of the full length windows. Off this room is a walk
in closet with a safe which is programmed by you. There
is also a very large spacious bathroom full of enchanting
amenities from a two person bathtub to a private area,
divided by a sliding door where you will find the toilet
and bidet.
The romantic ambience of this exclusive section of
Royal Hideaway is justifiable for that Special occasion
or if you are looking for a vacation of total relaxation
and privacy. You will want for nothing in this section.
If you still want the interaction of the daily activities
and the evening entertainment it is just a Golf cart
ride away to the Main lobby and Playa Megano. One evening
we went to the Main Lobby for the show and when we
left it was pouring. When we asked for a ride to the
room we were driven out to the suites in a mini golf
cart which the gentleman reversed right to the steps
of our front entrance so that not a drop of rain got
on us, this is just one example of the Royal treatment
that you will receive.
On
our last evening we sat on our porch listening to
the waves and watching the Glorious sunset. I wanted
to cry as I thought of having to leave all this exclusive
pampering and the many friends we had made among the
staff. That night Gerardo had arranged for us to have
a magnificant romantic meal in our Suite. He had intricately
placed fragrant petals as well as a beautiful flower
that I had been given by the gardner that morning on
the table. The presentation and the meal was superb.
It was so difficult to say goodbye. I was glad that
we were able to be indulged in this manner and I highly
recommend the Royal Suites, I think you will love
it!
